Pitch Born is a football-inspired apparel brand, built by a single mum, from watching grassroots games from the sidelines all the way to trips to Wembley. It's for women and girls who love football.

It didn't start in a boardroom. It started watching my daughter play, week after week, training sessions and matches never missed, for years (and still going- 5 years on). Every single muddy Sunday morning on local grassroots pitches, to trips to Wembley and everything in between. Football became the rhythm, the way of life in our house. 

Watching from the sidelines I didn't just watch the matches, I saw real commitment that lasts for years. I watched confidence grow. I watched girls standing shoulder to shoulder with their male team mates- often, like my daughter, being the only girl on a team, or amongst a handful of girls within a mainly boy's league. I saw them own their places amongst those teams, on their own merit, skill and determination. I saw them build their identities through football.

I've watched the women's and girl's game rise and evolve and become increasingly popular. Pitch Born doesn't aim to create community for women and girl's football- it acknowledges that community already exists on it's own terms, celebrates it and welcomes all newcomers.

Pitch Born is for every girl who shows up in the driving rain and cold, laces their boots and plays like they've always belonged there. It's for the women who love the game. It's for the parents on the sidelines who dedicate their time to their girls, knowing it's precious time well spent. It's for the rising generations who no longer have to see football as something they struggle to get into, but know the pitch is somewhere they belong.

Pitch Born creates football inspired clothing and training wear, rooted in match day culture. It's designed to feel authentic, worn naturally on the pitch or in every day life. It's designed by women for women. We also get direct testing and feedback from young women and girls- my daughters and their friends input into the design and wear our apparel. 

We believe football is much more than 90 minutes. It's identity, confidence, community, ambition and belonging- and we wanted to create a brand that reflected this.
